Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 18, 2026

bevMetrix (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to it. By using bevMetrix, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information We Collect

  • Account information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and payment details (processed securely through Stripe — we never store card numbers).
  • Inventory data: All product names, quantities, par levels, costs, and related records you enter are stored in your account and are yours.
  • Usage data: We use Google Analytics to collect information about how visitors interact with our site — including pages visited, time on site, browser type, device type, and approximate location derived from IP address. This data is collected by Google and subject to Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
  • Device information: Browser type, operating system, and IP address are collected for security and debugging purposes.
  • Communications: If you contact us by email or support channel, we retain records of those communications to assist with future requests.

How We Use Your Information

  • To operate and maintain your bevMetrix account and provide the services you pay for.
  • To process payments and send billing-related communications.
  • To send product updates, feature announcements, and support messages. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.
  • To diagnose bugs, improve performance, and develop new features.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR)

  • If you are located in the European Union or United Kingdom, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:
  • Contract performance: Processing your account data and payment information is necessary to provide the service you signed up for.
  • Legitimate interests: We process usage and device data to improve our platform, prevent fraud, and maintain security, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligation: We may process or retain data to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or court orders.
  • Consent: Where we rely on your consent (e.g., marketing emails), you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

Data Sharing

  • We do not sell your personal information or inventory data to third parties.
  • We share data only with trusted service providers who help us operate the platform (e.g., Supabase for database hosting, Stripe for payments, Vercel for infrastructure). These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
  • We use Google Analytics to understand site traffic and usage patterns. Google Analytics collects data such as pages visited, session duration, and device information, and may use this data in accordance with Google's own privacy policy. Under certain privacy laws (including CCPA), sharing data with Google Analytics may be considered a 'sale' or 'sharing' of personal information. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) or by using a browser with tracking protection enabled.
  • We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of bevMetrix, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfer: If bevMetrix LLC is acquired by or merged with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you by email or prominent notice on our site before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Data Retention

  • We retain your account data for as long as your subscription is active.
  • If you cancel your account, we will delete your data within 90 days unless you request earlier deletion or we are required to retain it by law (for example, financial records may be retained for up to 7 years to satisfy tax obligations).
  • Aggregated or anonymized data that cannot reasonably identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytics and product improvement.
  • You can request a full export of your data at any time by contacting support.

Security

  • All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest using commercially reasonable security measures.
  • Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel and protected by multi-factor authentication.
  • We conduct periodic security reviews. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
  • In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

Cookies

  • We use session cookies to keep you logged in and to store authentication tokens.
  • We use Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _gid, _gat) to collect anonymized usage data about how visitors interact with our site. These cookies are set by Google and are subject to Google's cookie policy.
  • We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
  • You can disable cookies in your browser settings or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data. Note that disabling session cookies may prevent some app features from working correctly.

Age Restriction

  • bevMetrix is intended for use by adults aged 18 or older, and is designed for licensed alcohol industry professionals.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If you become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@bevmetrix.com so we can delete it.

Your Rights

  • You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time by contacting us.
  • California residents have additional rights under CCPA, including the right to know what data we collect, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of data sharing with third parties such as Google Analytics. To opt out, use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or contact us at support@bevmetrix.com.
  • EU/UK residents have rights under GDPR, including the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your data, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
  • To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@bevmetrix.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may verify your identity before acting on a request.

Third-Party Services

  • Our platform integrates with third-party services including Supabase, Stripe, Vercel, and Google Analytics. Each has its own privacy policy and data practices that we do not control.
  • We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services. We encourage you to review their policies.

Changes to This Policy

  • We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will notify you by email and update the 'Last updated' date below.
  • If the changes are material, we will provide at least 14 days' notice before they take effect.
  • Continued use of bevMetrix after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
